Why Doggie Doos Costs More or Less — and Why It’s Worth It
You may notice that the Doggie Doos Professional Dog Grooming Course costs more than some online grooming courses and cost less than on campus learning—and that’s intentional.
Many lower-cost programs (often around $500) focus only on the basics. I don't want someone who only read the basics touching my dogs! These courses are typically:
Some advertise that you can “learn to groom in a week or a month.”That is not true. A week or a month does not make someone a Professional Dog Groomer. It makes you someone who isn't serious about "truly" being a dog groomer and frankly, those are not the people I would want grooming my dogs either. They won't have experience, or even an understanding of what dog grooming really is! They also require many Continuing Education courses that will be more expensive.
Doggie Doos is different.
This is a complete, professional-level program, taught one-on-one. You work directly with me from the beginning of the course through graduation and beyond. I guide you, review your work, give feedback, and help you build real skills—not just watch videos and move on.
The course typically takes 3–4 months to complete, allowing time for proper hands-on practice, skill development, and confidence building. Grooming is a hands-on trade, and learning it correctly takes time, so why not do it right the first time!?! Learn everything, not just the basics!
There are also grooming programs that require students to travel to a physical school for three months or more. Those programs often cost more than Doggie Doos—and do not include lodging, meaning students must also pay for housing, travel, meals, and time away from home.
With Doggie Doos:
Additionally, many lower-cost programs do not include a grooming toolkit. The Doggie Doos course does. Your tuition includes a complete grooming tool kit with everything you need to begin grooming professionally.
This course is designed for students who are serious about learning the trade correctly, safely, and professionally—and who want their work to reflect that level of training.
If you’re looking for the cheapest option, Doggie Doos will not be the right fit. As much as I want you to learn from me, I want my students to have the reputation I have, because it reflects on me!!
If you’re looking for real training, real support, and real results, you’re in the right place.
Fill out our inquiry form to get a no obligation phone call to see first of all, if dog grooming is really the right path for you. Some people aren't cut out to be a groomer and wouldn't it be nice to know before you have paid your tuition?! I will ask you some questions from an intake form and that will literally assess whether you really can and want to be a groomer. As I said, there is absolutely no obligation to talk to me and do the assessment.
